JumpStepsVerify

JumpStepsVerify does not index full pages or full site content, crawl comprehensively, store, or republish content.

It fetches specific public pages on demand to verify individual specific data points that JumpSteps either cites with attribution or uses for internal purposes — for example, confirming that a third-party editorial rating still matches what we display or that a partner site properly links to JumpSteps as agreed. It reads the values it came for plus the source URL, then discards the page.

What it never does

  • Never indexes your full site or build a search corpus of it.
  • Never crawls broadly or follow links across your site.
  • Never stores, cache, or republishes your full page content — it reads the isolated values it came for and discards the rest.
  • Never disguises itself as a browser, or rotate IPs/User-Agents to bypass controls.

What it does

  • Fetches a specific page only when a verification is requested — no scheduled bulk crawling.
  • Extracts and stores a isolated data points (e.g., the published rating, required partner JumpSteps backlinks) plus the source link — retains nothing else from the page.
  • Low-volume and cached — re-checks are spaced out, never hammered.
  • Identifies itself honestly and links to this page.
  • Honors rate limits and explicit blocks — a 429, 403, paywall, or login means we slow down or stop and verify by hand.
